Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring bedding and towels?

We provide all the bedding for your stay. This includes a quality duvet, duvet cover, pillows and pillow cases. There is also a blanket provided for each bed. A bath towel is provided for each person (these are not beach towels – so please do bring your own beach towels). A hand towel and shower mat are provided in the bathroom.

How dog friendly are you?

We love dogs and have two of our own, a dinky jackapoo and a crazy beagle. Your four legged friends can make themselves comfortable with you in the tents - a dog bed, blanket and bowl are provided. Dogs are not to be left alone or loose in the tents without someone present. You know your dog's temperament best, so we ask that you are mindful of others on site, keeping your dog under control; on a lead outside the tent in the glamping field if needed. We also have livestock in our paddocks, as well as neighbouring fields with sheep and other animals, so we ask to please keep dogs on leads through the wood and beyond the car park.

Does the SatNav bring me to your entrance?

Unfortunately not all SatNavs will bring you to the entrance. If you use Google maps and search Beara Lodge Glamping, this should bring you to the gate. We have some helpful directions on our website – which may be found here.

Do I need to bring charcoal for the BBQ?

No. The large BBQ provided for you is a gas BBQ and all your gas is provided for your stay.

Do you provide wood for the log burner?

Yes. We provide the first bag of kindling and first bag of logs free of charge. Thereafter these may be purchased on site as below:-

Logs at £15 per bag

Kindling at £12 per bag

How can I pay for the logs/kindling on site?

We can take card payments, BACS transfer or cash. Just let us know if you would like to purchase these. You may be invoiced at the end of your stay if this is easier.

Do you sell any essentials on site?

When you arrive at your tent, you will find tea and coffee, and milk in the fridge, so that you can relax straight away. We will also supply some bottled water for your first night. We stock water bottles for purchase, alongside some other essentials, on site, in case anything gets forgotten from your suitcase (e.g. toothpaste, shower gel etc). We also have a stock of tinned goods and campfire staples for your convenience. There are local shops and supermarkets within a short drive from here, in Halwill Junction and Holsworthy.
